Privacy Notice
How we collect, use and look after your personal information when you use this website.
Last updated: June 2026
Who we are
Gosport Walking Football Club ("the club", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at contact@gosportwalkingfootball.club.
What information we collect
We collect the information you provide when you submit a “Come and Try” prospective-player enquiry. This may include:
- Your full name
- Email address (if provided)
- Telephone number (if provided)
- Preferred contact method
- Approximate age group
- Session preference (Monday, Friday or both)
- Optional reasons for interest
- Any optional message or questions you include
At least one contact method (email or telephone) is required. We do not request medical or health information through the enquiry form.
We also collect standard web-server log data (such as IP address, date and time of request, and pages visited) for security and operational purposes.
Why we collect it
We collect enquiry information so that authorised club administrators can contact you to arrange a free trial session and welcome you to the club.
Our lawful basis for processing your enquiry information is your consent, which you give by checking the consent box on the enquiry form.
Who can access your information
Enquiry information is accessible only to authorised club administrators through a shared mailbox. No named individuals are hard-coded as recipients. We do not share your personal information with third parties except where required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are normally deleted 30 days after an administrator has recorded an outcome for your enquiry.
If an enquiry has not been actioned, it will be deleted after 90 days from submission.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a member account. If you later join the club as a member, a separate membership record may be created with your consent; your original enquiry will still be deleted according to this retention policy.
Facebook and optional content
Our News page can display content from our Facebook page. Facebook content is only loaded after you give your consent using the cookie preference banner. Before consent, no data is sent to Facebook. If you choose “Essential only”, a direct link to our Facebook page is always available instead.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out).
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@gosportwalkingfootball.club.
