Our commitment
Gosport Walking Football Club is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with visual, auditory, motor or cognitive impairments. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA (opens in a new tab) .
What we have done
- Used a clear, readable typeface (Source Sans 3) at a generous base size.
- Ensured sufficient colour contrast throughout the site.
- Provided keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Added a “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
- Used semantic HTML elements and ARIA labels where appropriate.
- Ensured form fields have persistent labels and clear error feedback.
- Made the site fully responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Ensured that colour is never the sole means of conveying information.
- Respected the “prefers-reduced-motion” system setting.
Known limitations
This website is currently in active development. Some images are displayed as descriptive placeholders while final club photography is being prepared. These placeholders include descriptive text but may not provide a complete visual experience. Final images will include appropriate alt text when supplied.
Embedded Facebook content is only loaded with your consent and is subject to Facebook’s own accessibility standards, which are outside our control. A direct link to our Facebook page is always available as an alternative.
Report an accessibility issue
If you experience any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please email us at contact@gosportwalkingfootball.club. We will aim to respond within five working days.
Technical information
This website is built with ASP.NET Core and served as server-rendered HTML. It does not rely on JavaScript for core content or navigation. JavaScript is used only to enhance the mobile navigation menu, manage cookie preferences and conditionally load optional Facebook content.
The site has been designed and tested to work without CSS or JavaScript enabled, though the visual presentation will differ.
